Sinopsis

Kamijou Touma adalah seorang siswa yang tinggal di Academy City, kota yang sangat maju dalam bidang teknologi. Meskipun Touma tergolong sebagai esper level nol (tanpa kekuatan), tapi ia memiliki kemampuan untuk menetralkan segala jenis kekuatan, kemampuan ini disebut dengan Imagine Breaker. Suatu hari secara tak sengaja Touma bertemu dengan seorang anak perempuan bernama Index yang melarikan diri dari kejaran organisasi sihir Necessarius. Pertemuan Touma dengan Index membuatnya terlibat dengan banyak pertempuran dengan para esper yang kuat.
